Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on May 13, 2020 and concluded on the same date. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 2 children present and 1 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records, 1 staff record, and 3 household members submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Description:	Based on observation, a child was placed in the crib to play. Evidence: During virtual inspection, a child was observed to be placed in a crib to play for a few minutes.
Plan of Correction:	The provider removed the child from the crib once the inspector brought it to their attention. The inspector and provider discussed the use of cribs solely as a place for sleep.
