Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was provided regarding the cleaning and sanitizing procedure according to licensing standards.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on June 22, 2020 and concluded on June 24, 2020. The provider was contacted by Face Time to initiate the inspection. There were 7 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records, 2 household members records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-D
Description: Diapering surface shall be cleaned and sanitized after each diaper change using the two part system of clean with a spray of solution of soap and water, pat dry and spray with a solution of bleach and water and allowed to air dry.
Evidence:
Based on interview with provider, diaper surfaces are being cleaned with wipes after each use.

Plan of Correction: I was having difficulty getting bleach, so I used wipes. I will begin using the proper procedure.
