Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A renewal inspection was initiated on 7/6/2020 and concluded on 7/7/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 9 children present and 3 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Please call me at 703-203-8659 if you have any questions regarding this inspection.

Violations:

Description: Based on the review of the paperwork for two staff it was determined that the provider failed to get the required fingerprint check for one employee.
Evidence: The provider did not have the OBI fingerprints for a staff member hired on 6/30/2020, staff 2, at the time of the renewal

Plan of Correction: I was waiting to schedule this to after the holiday weekend, her fingerprint appointment is on 7/11/2020 and i will send the letter with the results as soon as I receive it to the licensing inspector.
