Documented date of hire for new caregivers must reflect the first day he/she begins job responsibilities. Fingerprint results must be received prior to this date.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 7/14/2020 and concluded on 7/14/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 6 children present and 2 caregiver staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 caregiver staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C Description: Based on a review of emergency drill documentation, it was determined that the provider did maintain documentation to indicate she conducted at least 2 shelter-in-place drills during the 2019 calendar year.
Evidence:
The provider did not document the completion of at least 2 shelter-in-place drills during the 2019 calendar year.Plan of Correction: We did the drills. We did several more than 2 drills but I forgot to document them. I will document the drills this year.
