Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A renewal inspection was initiated on July 21, 2020 and concluded on the same date. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 3 children (8pts) present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-510-C
Description: Based on observation, one rest mat could not be cleaned and sanitized.

Evidence: A child was observed on a soft foldout child sized sofa bed which could not be cleaned and sanitized.

Plan of Correction: We will make sure the child is sleeping on a mat which can be cleaned and sanitized.
