Technical Assistance:
1. COVID-19 health + safety guidance reviewed with the Provider. Enhanced precautions are being taken by the provider.
2. Reviewed the storage of cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer products when not in use.
3. Discussed CARES Grant Phase II.
4. Emergency drills should not be written as completed in advance on the form. The record should reflect what actually occurred and be written after the drill is completed.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the home was not conducted at this time.

A renewal inspection was scheduled and conducted on 7/23/20, 9:30-10:07am. A portion of the inspection included a virtual inspection of the physical environment and children in care. There were 6 children present = 17 points with the provider, substitute caregiver, and assistant/household member #1. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed having outdoor active play in the front yard, drawing, and one child was napping in a crib. The inspector emailed the provider a list of documents required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 2 child records, and the providers record submitted by the provider to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined there were no non-compliances with applicable standards or laws reviewed. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@dss.virginia.gov

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal.
