This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 7/29/2020 and concluded on 7/29/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 5 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 3 staff/household member records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on record review, the provider did not obtain, for one adult household member, a current Report of Tuberculosis Screening form every two years from the date of the first screening.
Evidence:
The most recent documentation of a tuberculosis screening in the record for Household Member #1 was dated 8/4/17.Plan of Correction: An appointment is scheduled for tomorrow.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c Description: Based on record review, the provider did not obtain a central registry finding before 5 years since the dates of the most recent central registry finding.
Evidence:
1. Central registry findings for Caregiver #1 and Household Member #1 expired on 1/30/2020.
2. Central registry check forms for Caregiver #1 and Household Member #1 were notarized on 1/31/2020.
2. New Central Registry findings for Caregiver #1 and Household Member #1 were obtained on 2/12/2020.Plan of Correction: Next time, I will send the CPS checks 30 days before they expire so there is not a lapse.
