Technical Assistance:
Provider as reminded that while she is permitted to leave the program while children are in care, the assistant caregiver must document the hours that she has become a substitute and all training requirements must be kept up to date.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 8/10/2020 and concluded on 8/12/2020. The Provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The provider was not home at the start of the inspection and there were 5 children present with the assistant caregiver. The inspector emailed the Provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the Provider to ensure documentation was complete.

The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The licensing inspector has reviewed with the Provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
