The Licensing Inspector conducted a joint investigation with a local agency in response to complaints that were received by the licensing office on June 24, 2020 and August 27, 2020. The investigation regarding care of children initiated on August 28, 2020 and ended on October 2, 2020.
Interviews were conducted with staff and parents.
The information gathered during this investigation support the allegations, so the complaint is determined to be valid. See the Violation Notice for findings.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-630-A Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on an interview, a caregiver did not use positive methods of discipline that are constructive in nature and include techniques that are appropriate, and understandable for the child's level of development.
Evidence:
1. On August 28, 2020, Caregiver A stated that Caregiver C is "not always appropriate."; and that Caregiver C had to be talked to several times. Caregiver A stated that Caregiver C is inappropriate when they "push them down to make them sit down. [Caregiver C] does it so fast. [Caregiver C] is not patient with them. " Caregiver A also stated "[Caregiver C] was aggressive yesterday."; that "[Caregiver C] push child, so he could put his shoe on.? Caregiver A stated ?I told [Caregiver C] to be patient and wait until he sits down."Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
