An out of state search of the sex offender registry must be completed for all staff/household residents (Family Day Homes) who have resided outside of the state of Virginia within the past 5 years. In addition, an out of state criminal history record search must be completed for staff/household residents who have resided in any non-NFF states within the past 5 years.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 11/6/2020 and concluded on 11/9/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 8 children present and 2 caregiver staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 3 staff/household resident records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that the provider did not obtain documentation of a physical examination by or under the direction of a physician prior to attendance or within 30 days after the first day of attendance for one child.
Evidence:
Child A has been in care since 9/10/20. The provider has not obtained a physical exam report for this child.Plan of Correction: I will remind the parent to return the completed physical paperwork.
