Reviewed the background check legislation changes that were updated on 7/1/20 with the Provider.
- Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on 1/7/20 and concluded on 1/15/20. The Provider was contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There were 11 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 household members' records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Standard #: 63.2-1720.1-B-4 Description: Based on file review 1 household member did not have the results of a criminal history record information check and sex offender registry check from any state in which the applicant has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence
1. Household member #2 does not have a criminal history record information check and sex offender registry check from a state that he resided in within the past 5 years.Plan of Correction: The Provider sent a request for a sex offender registry check and a criminal history record check to be completed on household member #2 on 1/11/21.
