Technical Assistance:

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Provided contact information for Office of Background Investigations to enable provider to request status of one background check request. As a reminder, annual review of emergency contacts are required. Given the pandemic and social distancing, a date and initial from the provider confirming with parents that the emergency contacts remain current will meet the intent of the standard.

Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was conducted via Facetime with the provider. There were a total of 12 children(24pts) with 3 staff. The children were observed outside with staff kicking the soccer ball, engaging with staff and running around in the yard. A transition back inside was made where the children washed hands and were seated for lunch. Lunch today was chicken and rice, peas and oranges. Observation of the program area, the crib room and the changing station was made. A total of 2 children's records were reviewed. No new staff or household members, background checks are current, with one updated check pending. No medications/food allergies at this time. Thank you for your cooperation today.
