Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 03/08/2021 and concluded on 03/12/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 6 children present and 3 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-780-B
Description: Based upon review of the emergency preparedness plan and provider interview, the provider has not ensured that the emergency preparedness plan is reviewed annually and the review is documented.
Evidence:
1. The most recent review of the Emergency Preparedness Plan documented by the provider was dated 08/12/2019. 2. The provider verified that there is no more recent date of an annual review of the emergency preparedness plan documented.

Plan of Correction: The provider shall review the Emergency Preparedness Plan and update if necessary. The provider shall ensure to document all reviews and updates.
