Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A renewal inspection was initiated on 3/15/2021 and concluded on 3/16/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 6 children present (12 points) and 2 caregiver staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 4 caregiver/household member records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A
Description: Based on a review of caregiver health records, it was determined the provider did not obtain for each caregiver a current Report of Tuberculosis Screening form, in accordance with the requirements in 22 VAC 40-111-170, every two years from the date of the first screening or more frequently as recommended by a physician or the local health department.
Evidence:
The TB screenings for two caregivers expired on 7/13/2020.

Plan of Correction: Both had been waiting due to the health pandemic. Both will get their repeat screenings completed.
