Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

An announced initial inspection was conducted from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm with the provider. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were no children in care during the inspection. Two children's records and four caregiver/household member records were reviewed and in compliance. Childcare areas inside and outside were observed. The day care area is large, organized, and well equipped with age/stage appropriate supplies, activities, and equipment for the ages of children requested. The first aid kit, battery operated flashlight and weather band radio were observed and in compliance. Four cribs were observed and meet Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) federal safety standards for cribs (manufactured 2/2019). The provider has current certification in CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration Training (MAT) and can administer medications to children in care. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. If you have questions regarding this inspection, contact Donna Liberman at 540-359-5244 or email Donna.Liberman@dss.virginia.gov.
