This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on March 22, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There was one child(2pts) present and one caregiver. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records, three household member's records, and one staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A-1 Description: Based on observation and interview, the first aid kit did not contain all required supplies.
1. The first aid kit did not contain adhesive tape. At the time of the inspection, the provider did not locate adhesive tape in the first aid kits. The provider stated that the kit did not contain adhesive tape.
Plan of Correction: The provider will buy adhesive tape.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on record review, children's records did not contain required information.
1. Child #2's record(First date of attendance-11/2/20) did not contain an address for both of the emergency contacts.
Plan of Correction: The provider will get the address from the parents today.
