Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on March 18, 2021 and concluded on March 22, 2021 provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were nine children present and two staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-H
Description: Based on review of two caregivers' records and interview, the vendor did not ensure caregivers complete the required annual update health and safety training.

Evidence:
The record for caregiver #1 had documentation of the annual training dated 03/21/21.
The record for caregiver #2 had documentation of the annual training dated 03/20/21.
