Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

An Initial Monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/5/2021 and concluded on 5/10/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection via video call. There are no children enrolled in the licensed program at this time. However, the provider is currently running a Voluntary Registered home and caring for children through that program. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 provider / household member records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Standards pertaining to the direct care and supervision of children in a licensed program could not be determined, as the licensed program is not yet in operation. Areas of standards that could not be determined at this time will be determined during the first unannounced inspection after the conditional license has been issued. The inspector reviewed General Procedures regarding issuance of a six month conditional license and recommendations at the conclusion of the conditional license.

The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
