At least one operable carbon monoxide detector is now required to be in place in the home. This new requirement was reviewed with the provider, and the provider was able to demonstrate to the Inspector that there is a working carbon monoxide detector system in the home.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and a virtual tour of the program.
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 9/23/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 12 children present (24points), ranging in ages from 2years to 4years, with the provider and 2 assistant caregivers supervising. The Inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 children's records and 3 caregiver records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on a review of administrative records, it was determined the provider did not keep an accurate written record of children in attendance.
Evidence:
During this inspection, there were 12 enrolled children present and in care, however, the written attendance indicated a total of only 11 children present and in care.Plan of Correction: The attendance was immediately corrected during the inspection.
