Technical Assistance:
All childcare facilities must have a Carbon Monoxide Detectors on each floor where care if provided.

All caregivers are required to obtain 16 hours of training annually.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on October 8, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 9 children present, ranging in ages from 6 months old to 4 years old (20pts), with 2 caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A
Description: Based on a review of records, the provider failed to obtain a current tuberculosis screening for each caregiver and household member every two years from the date of the first screening.

Evidence:
Caregiver #1 did not have a current TB screening, the last screening documented was 2/23/2019.
Household member #1 and #2's records did not have documentation of a current TB test or screening. The last documented test for HHM #1 was 2/25/2019 and the last test documented for HHM #2 was 2/21/2019.

Plan of Correction: The caregiver and the household members will obtain TB test or screenings.
