This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on January 7, 2022. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were eight children(18pts) present, ranging in ages from 7 months to 4 years , with two staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three child records and two staff records and one household members record were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-770-40-D-4-a Description: Based on record review and interview, the provider did not obtain an updated Central Registry Results for a household member.
1. Household member #1 had documentation of an expired Central Registry Results dated 12/12/2016. At the time of the inspection, there was no documentation of an updated Central Registry results in the record.
2. Staff #1 confirmed that household member #1 did not get an updated Central Registry search.
Plan of Correction: Household Member #1 will complete a new Central Registry search and document the record when the results are returned.
