Technical Assistance:
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services.

Consultation was given on updating the medication policy as the provider no longer has current MAT certification.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 1/18/2022.. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 8 children present, ranging in ages from 2 years to 5 years, with 3 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A child records and staff trainings were reviewed. Lunch served today was borsch, cucumbers, bread and milk. No medication was on-site as reported by the provider. Emergency preparation is up to date. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
