An in-person renewal inspection was initiated on January 26, 2022 and concluded on January 27, 2022. There were 4 children present, ranging in ages from 10 months to 5 years, with 1 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records, 1 staff record and 1 household member records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.036-B-2 Description: Based on record review, provider did not ensure all household members submitted to a fingerprint criminal history record check prior to the living in the home.
Evidence: Household member 1 does not have a result for a fingerprint history record check prior to living in the home.Plan of Correction: I have sent it in but do not have the result. I will follow up.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-320-E Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure the portable electric heater was located in an area inaccessible to children and did not have a barrier or a screen.
Evidence: A portable electric heater was observed on the floor accessible to children.Plan of Correction: I will place it on a stable surface out of reach of children.
