An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today between the hours of 9:30 am through 11:00 am. There were a total of eight children (16 points) observed with -two caregivers. A total of four children's files and -two staff/household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, games, circle time, outside time, and other organized activities. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Evidence:
1. There was not a carbon monoxide detector in the family day home.

1. The first aid kit was missing adhesive tape, antiseptic cleaner, and tweezers.Plan of Correction: The provider will buy the missing supplies and put them into the first aid kit.

1. The family day home did not have a working battery operated weather band radio. The provider did not have batteries for the weather band radio.Plan of Correction: The provider will purchase batteries for the weather band radio.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-800-A Description: Based on documentation review and interview, the family day home did not have a written emergency preparedness and response plan.

The provider will ensure that each child record is complete by conducting a monthly review of each record.
