Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:30am until 10:10 am. There were 14 children directly supervised by 4 staff. The child care area, 3 staff records, 4 children?s records, 1 household member?s records, pet records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing outdoors. Diapering procedures were also observed. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on observation, provider statement, and record review, the provider did not ensure that the total number of children receiving care at any one time does not exceed the maximum licensed capacity of the home.
Evidence:
On the date of inspection a head count, attendance sheet, and provider statement confirmed a total of 14 children in care. The maximum number of children licensed for care is 12 at any given time.
