An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 9 children(25pts) with the Provider and 1 Assistant was present. The children had just finished lunch and transitioning to afternoon naptime. Observation of the programming space, crib room, diapering area, backyard and the bathroom was made. New carpet and some new furnishings were purchased for the program space. No medication or topical ointment needs at this time. The home was found clean and organized and provided toys and equipment appropriate for the age of the children currently in care. A total of 5 children's records, all staff and 1 household member file was reviewed. The previous violations found during the January inspection were reviewed and corrective actions were verified. Child #4 began care on 08/30/2022. information to parents was not provided until 09/01/2022.Plan of Correction: All information from parents will be obtained before the child begins care.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-90-A Description: Based on review of children's records, before 1 child began care, the provider did not obtain documentation that a child has been adequately immunized.
Evidence:
Child #4 began care on 08/30/2021. Immunizations on file were dated 09/28/2021.Plan of Correction: I will ensure that immunization records of each child is received before the child can begin care.
