Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today during the hours of approximately 11:30 am to 12:45pm to monitor the program?s compliance with the Standards during their first 60 days of operation under the 6 month Conditional Licensure period. There were 9 children in care at the time of the inspection with 2 caregivers. The two infants that were in care were observed while they were being fed and had some time playing on the floor. Older children were observed cleaning up their toys and transitioning to quiet time while the provider got their lunches ready. Children bring their lunches from home. Handwashing procedures were observed before and after eating. After lunch, children met on the rug area and the provider read a story. Infants joined them for story time.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The provider reported that no medication was on site today. A total of 3 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed. Previous violations had been corrected.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Maria Robles at maria.robles@doe.virginia.gov.
