Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-870-G
Description: Based on observation and interview, tables were not cleaned at least daily.
Evidence: The children were observed transition outside to eat their morning snack. The children walked to two outdoor tables and began eating. The tables were not cleaned before the children began eating, and the provider stated that they do not currently clean those tables because they are metal with holes.

Plan of Correction: We'll start cleaning them every day.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-500-D
Description: Based on observation, equipment with platforms over 30 inches high were not designed with guardrails or barriers to prevent falls.
Evidence: There is wood "cabin" with a large platform approximately 5 feet tall in the back corner of the family day home backyard. The platform has four edges, however there is railing on two of the four edges. There is no barrier preventing children from falling off the two unprotected edges.

Plan of Correction: We have extra recycled wood and can get railings built today.
