- Technical Assistance:
1. Reviewed diaper changing procedures.
2:45-3:55pm Conducted an unannounced annual subsidy inspection. Observed 3 children = 7 points with the Vendor. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. The children were waking from naps, washing hands, playing with toys and puzzles during the inspection, while the infant in care was being held, fed, and soothed by the Vendor. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. The Vendor said the front yard is used for outdoor active play. The Vendor is currently certified in First Aid + CPR. The emergency preparedness plans and supplies were in order. Record keeping violations found.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-006-B Description: Based on records reviewed, it was determined that 2 of 4 children's records did not include required information. Evidence: The records for Child #5 and #6 di d not include parent work information for the father listed. The space on the form was left blank. Plan of Correction: Parent will be asked to write down employment information, or write "N/A" on the paperwork.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-010-A Description: Based on records reviewed, it was determined that 1 of 4 children's records did not include documentation of immunizations before the child's attendance. Evidence: Child #5 began attending on 5/29/18, and there were no immunizations on-file. Plan of Correction: The parent will be asked to bring immunizations.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-013-C-2 Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that electrical outlets did not have protective covers. Evidence: Two outlets in the main daycare room did not have covers. Plan of Correction: Outlets were covered during the inspection.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-026-E-3 Description: Based on interview conducted, it was determined that the diaper changing surface has not been cleaned with soap and water, and then sanitized with bleach and water after each diaper change. Evidence: The vendor said she uses bleach and water only. Plan of Correction: The diaper pad will be cleaned with soap and water before sanitizing.
