Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on April 21, 2023 from approximately 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. There were 12 children in attendance. 1 staff record, 1 assistant record, 1 household member record and 5 children?s records were reviewed. All areas of the home were observed and areas where the children are cared for were inspected.

Interviews were held with the provider throughout the inspection. The designated areas for childcare were deemed appropriate and are equipped with age appropriate toys to meet the needs of the children. Children were observed taking a nap and eating snack while the licensing inspector was at the home.

Violations were cited as a result of this inspection.

Please complete the plan of correction and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today, 04/28/023. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again, and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measure(s).

Description: Based on documentation review, and interview, the provider failed to practice an evacuation drill each month. Evidence: Documentation of evacuation drills indicated that the last evacuation drill was conducted on 2/7/23. When asked, the provider acknowledged that a drill was not documented in the month of March.
