Discussed keeping records at the center.
44 children present with 6 staff during this monitoring visit. Observed the children playing in the gym , doing art work, playing games and having lunch. The center has lots of different supplies for the children to play and explore. Interaction between staff and children observed during the visit. Children bring lunch from home. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: The center failed to have emergency contact information for one staff. Evidence: Based on the review of staff emergency contact information , one staff , staff B is missing emergency contact information. Plan of Correction: The form was filled out during the visit, according to staff the form had been turned in to the main office who had not returned a copy to the center yet.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-H Description: Center failed to keep otc staff medication and a purse out of reach of children. Evidence: Based on the review of the physical plant a staff purse was left on the seat where children could access it, the staff purse contained otc medication. Plan of Correction: Removed and locked up during the visit.
