Today an announced initial study was conducted beginning at 11am. There are no children in care at this time, making some areas unable to be determined with compliance. This inspection ended at 1pm. An exit interview was also conducted at this time.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-D-5 Description: Based on discussion with administration, no staff have daily health observation training. Plan of Correction: We will schedule a daily health observation training for current staff prior to our first day of opening.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-A Description: Based on observation, there are safety hazards on the playground. Evidence: On the concrete slab where children will be riding tricycles, there is a gap approximately 4 inches wide in between the concrete slab and fence. This gap is approximately 5 inches deep. This poses a risk for foot entrapment or accidents on the tricycles if children get too close to the edge. Plan of Correction: We will fill in the gap prior to children attending.
