Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted August 3, 2015. The on-site visit was from 10:55 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. On this date, at the time of arrival, there were 18 children in the care of two staff members, and there were six (6) children in the care of two staff members that had already left to go on a field trip to the farm school. There were a total of 24 children enrolled in the summer camp program for the week. The center was found to be in substantial compliance with the licensing standards and there were no violations of the licensing standards observed during the visit. The violation from the previous inspection had been corrected. There were six children's records reviewed during the visit and four staff members' records reviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for three children. Four staff members and two children were interviewed. There were no medications or medication paperwork on site for the week. Time was spent at the school with the primary age class and with the older children at the local swimming pool. Some of the Items checked during the inspection included required posted information, evacuation drills, daily schedules, injury reports, fire inspection, health inspection, and the water temperature. Montessori work activities, circle time, snack, outdoor play, transition procedures, hand washing and bathroom procedures, lunch, nap time, and dismissal procedures were observed during the visit.
