A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 7/10/2024 from 9:20am to 10:20am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 2 children in care, ranging in age from 4 to 7-years-old, for a total of 3 points. Children were observed watching age-appropriate shows and eating a breakfast snack. 2 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid and the provider has current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The Breakfast Snack served was pancakes and fruit. The outdoor play area, programming area, first aid kit, flashlight, weather-band radio, 2 children?s records and carbon monoxide detector were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, policies and menu were also reviewed. There were no children?s medications onsite.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Angela Dudek at angela.dudek@doe.virginia.gov.
