Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced renewal inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on September 3, 2015 from 11:15 a.m. through 1:50 p.m. On this date, there were one-hundred thirty-four (134) children in the care of twenty-two (22) staff members in nine classrooms. There were five (5) children's records and ten (10) staff records reviewed and updated. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for three (3) children. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice. Areas observed were educational center activities, story time, music, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, transition, outside play, lunch, infant feeding, nap and departure. Lunch was observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of bologna and cheese sandwich, pineapple, salad, and milk. All interactions between staff and the children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. Children have been completing seasonal activities and artwork is displayed throughout the center. There are a wide variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 430-9256.
