The staff records are checked at the administrative offices at the time of the records review. Discussed posting snack substitutes near the menu.
68 children present with 4 staff during this monitoring visit. Observed the children playing outside, doing homework, playing in the gym. doing art projects and playing with dolls. Supplies are easily accessible for the children and staff and children interact in a positive way. Snack was observed today's snack was blueberry bread and milk. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-A Description: The center has one emergency medication with an expired authorization, and an over the counter medication that also has an expired authorization. Evidence: Based on the review of the medications at the center, one medication has an authorization from 3/3/15 stating that the end date is school year. An over the counter medication for the same child has an authorization that expired in July of 2015. The director thought the authorization was good until December 2015. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent for the authorization.
