63.2 Facilities and Programs..

Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced mandated inspection from approximately 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. There were 16 children in care with two staff supervising at all times. Three children's records were reviewed. Children were observed during circle time, at centers, preparing for and having lunch, and playing in the gym. Medications were inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observation, the facility did not keep hazardous substances in a locked place. Evidence: 1. The LI observed bathroom cleaner in the bathroom that the children use unlocked. It was high up on a shelf inaccessible to children.

Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection. Teachers will make sure in the morning that cleaning supplies are locked. The lead teacher stated that the school janitor must have left it out.
