Discussed entry to the second toilet in the first building to prevent children's access to utility closet. Discussed playground safety plan- include provision for positioning of staff on each playground and stipulation about the number of children permitted on each playground at one time. The Emergency Preparedness Plan needs to be updated to include the additional space that has been added to the building.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted this morning that also included observation and measuring the additional space to increase capacity. The program, classes, ratios, supervision, and interaction between children and staff was observed today. The Inspector also checked medication, staff files, children's files, daily reports, emergency drills, and operational records. Classes were in ratio and staff were involved with the children.
