Two staff members were actively supervising the children's activities. Three additional staff members were also present in the Center during part of the inspection. Staff reported 20 children are currently on roll. Activities observed by the LI included: outdoor play, structured circle time as a Teacher read a story to the children, the lunch meal, hand washing procedures, and dismissal at the end of the program day. The Center was equipped with age appropriate materials/equipment for the children's use. Staff were engaged with the children, offering guidance when needed. The LI reviewed a sample of four children's records. Prescribed medications and written authorizations to administer were reviewed for (4) children. Documentation of the Center's annual fire and health inspections was current. The first aid kit and documentation of the practiced emergency drills was in compliance. Findings of the inspection were reviewed at the exit. If you have any questions, please call (540)309-2310. The inspection was conducted from approximately 10:30AM to 1:20PM.
