An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated today at 10:50am. The physical plant, 3 staff files, 4 children's files, annual fire inspection, children's activities, medications, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected today. There were 13 children under the supervision of 3 teachers. During the inspection, children were observed being helped with potty training and enjoying free play outside in the playground area. Each child brings a lunch from home daily. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C Description: Based on observations, the center did not follow all procedures for administering medications. Evidence 1. Child #2 requires benedryl as a medication to be administered in case of emergency. The benedryl on site expired 09/15. Plan of Correction: The site director will ask the parents to replace this.
