An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on October 15th 2015. It began at 9:30am and concluded at 11:00am. There were 124 children in the direct care of 28 staff members. Ratios were well maintained at all times. Children were observed being fed, being changed, reading, having art time, playing in the gym, playing on the playground, and having music class. A sampling of children's records and staff records were observed as well as medication, the first aid kit, the physical space and the evacuations drills. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: In the gymnasium a can of disinfectant spray was on an unlocked shelf. Plan of Correction: The canister was removed from the location and locked away during the inspection.
