Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with center director and staff. There were two staff present with 25 school age children. The children were enjoying the nice weather outdoors, eating afternoon snack, and playing age appropriate activities such as Legos and board games. Snack served today: Oranges, juice, and Fun Friday "bugs" with fruit and chow mein noodles. Two staff files and three childrens' files were reviewed. One emergency medication was reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-A
Description: Based on review of medications, the facility failed to obtain written parental authorization to administer one emergency medication. Evidence: There was no parent signature authorizing the facility to administer medication for Child A.

Plan of Correction: Facility will request signature from the parent on Monday. The child is not present today.
