An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 2:30 to 3:30pm. Today was a two hour early release from school day. Sixty two children were present with five staff. The children were playing outside, making dogs from yarn, and eating snack. Medication procedures were reviewed, and staff with current MAT, first aid and CPR training were on site. Children's records were also reviewed today. The exit interview was conducted with the center supervisor. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 703-479-4709.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, staff did not obtain documentation of the annual parent confirmation that the required information in the child's record is up to date. Findings: At the time of the inspection, the inspector found that five out of six children's records reviewed did not have documentation of an annual parent review. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-E Description: Based on observation, medication was not labeled with the child's name, dosage amount, and the time or times to be given. Findings: At the time of the inspection, the inspector found that an over the counter medication for one child was not labeled as required. The container of medication was in a bag that had the child's name on it, but the container of medication was not labeled with any of the required information. Plan of Correction: The container of medication was labeled at the time of the inspection.
