An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/25/15 between 10:15 and 1:45. The inspection was conducted with the director. The inspector spoke with staff and children. The following staff/child ratios were observed: Infants ? two staff with eight children; Toddlers - one staff with five children; 2?s - one staff with 16 children (nap time); 3's and 4's - two staff with 12 children; School age - one staff with 9 children and one staff with 14 children. The children were engaged in various activities including napping, playing games and making holiday ornaments for the center's tree. Health inspection ? 10/29/15 Fire inspection ? 8/27/15 Last fire drill 11/10/15 and a shelter-in-place drill was conducted on 11/10/15 All required documents were posted including license, licensing notices, menu, and evacuation information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: The center failed to ensure that all cleaning supplies were located in a locked place. Evidence: The inspector observed a spray bottle of Febreze on a bookshelf in the director's office. The bottle was on a higher shelf. Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection. Director locked the spray bottle in the restroom. Will make sure all cleaning products are locked up at all times.
