- Technical Assistance:
1. Reviewed medication procedures and regulations.
Conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection. Observed 37 children + 4 direct care staff. Ratios were in compliance and supervision was constant. A new Director was hired at the beginning of the school year. Children were observed washing hands, eating snack, doing homework, and having outdoor free-play. Snack served: a puffed corn snack chip + water. Children were divided into different groups by grade, and there was a drop-in group. The school was found to be very clean, safeguarded appropriately, and sufficiently supplied with equipment for the children. Required documents were posted. Evidence: Child #1 - Staff gave the child an over the counter pain reliever with verbal permission from the parent, as documented on a written injury report and confirmed verbally by staff.
