Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, December 16, 2015. The on site visit was from 10:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. On this date, there were one-hundred five (105) children in the care of twenty-four (24) staff members in twelve classrooms. There are a total of one-hundred thirty-three (133) children enrolled. There were five (5) children's records and three (3) staff records reviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for one child.
Areas observed were fire drill, lunch, story time, infant feeding, diapering procedures, infant play, nap time, transition and hand washing/bathroom procedures. Lunch was observed to meet the USDA guidelines and consisted of turkey macaroni, spinach, banana, and milk. All interactions between staff and the children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. The center is well equipped with a variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. The children have been completing seasonal activities and artwork is displayed throughout classrooms.
Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 430-9256.
