Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Thursday, December 17, 2015, from approximately 10:15am until 12:50pm. Some, but not all, licensing standards were reviewed. Present today were: four infants with one staff in Infant 1; five infants with two staff in Infant II; fifteen toddlers with three staff in Toddler I; six toddlers with two staff in Toddler II; six two year old children with one staff in Early Preschool I; seven two year old children with one staff in Early Preschool II; seven three year old children in Preschool I with one staff; ten three year old children with one staff in Preschool II; nine children with two staff in kindergarten prep.
Children were observed learning about "in and out", counting by 10's, coloring, practicing hand writing, creating art with popsicle sticks, learning with computer games, building with blocks and creating with various manipulatives. Infants were being held, having floor play and napping. Each room played children's soft music.
Lunch: grilled chicken, mixed vegetable, peaches, and milk
A practice evacuation drill was conducted 11/30/15. Practice shelter-in-place drills were conducted 7/1/15 and 12/8/15.
Four staff records, four children's records and two medication records were inspected.
