During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 02/19/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 9:50a.m. and ended at 11a.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 11 children present and 2 caregivers at the beginning of the inspection. The point total was40. The provider arrived within 30 minutes. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 3 caregiver and 2 household member's records on-site. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.011-F Description: The license and any other documents required by the Superintendent shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
The most recent inspection findings were not posted conspicuously within the family day home.Plan of Correction: This inspection report and violation notice will be posted.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-50-A Description: The family day home shall keep a written record of children in attendance each day.
A total of 11 children were in attendance during the day of the inspection. The written record of children in attendance recorded 9 children in attendance.Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-210-A Description: In addition to satisfactory completion of first aid training and CPR training, caregivers shall obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually.
From January 2024 to January 2025, Staff #1 obtained 5 hours of the required 16 hours of annual training. Staff #2 obtained 12 hours of the required 16 hours and Staff #3 obtained a total of 8 hours of annual training.Plan of Correction: All staff will complete at least 1 training monthly. Certificates or documentation of the training will be printed and filed in the records.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-570-A Description: The provider shall ensure that a caregiver does not exceed 16 points.
1. Two staff were caring for 7 children for a total of 40 points for approximately 30 minutes.Plan of Correction: Going forward the points will not exceed 16 for each staff member.
