Discussed with the Director: Following up on out of area emergency contacts; Accident logs and documentation. Also discussed renewal inspection and renewal application. Also discussed new biting policy.
Unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 1:00. There were 56 children present. All classrooms were in appropriate ratios. two new classrooms will be open in the next few months, one called the Mindfulness Room for Yoga and self awareness activities and Gross Motor Room for the Older Infants/Toddlers and Twos. Children were observed participating in small group activities including art, storytime, building and physical play. Children's work was prominently displayed in all classrooms. There were no medications at the center at this inspection. Reviewed 8 children's files. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a a review of 8 children's files, it was determined that three files were nor complete. Evidence: The files for child #1 and child #6 did not have their physicals and shot record signed or stamped by the doctor's office. The file for Child#8 did not have an address for the second emergency contact. Plan of Correction: The Assistant Director will review children's files for complete information.
