22VAC40-191 Background Checks (22VAC40-191)
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted in the Center on January 27, 2016. There were 23 children participating in the program on this day. Reportedly, 30 children are currently enrolled. The children were observed in two classrooms. There were 5 staff supervising the children's activities. The children were engaged in center play. Staff were interacting with the children, they participated in an art activity and read a book to the children. The lunch meal was also observed in one classroom. Medications were reviewed for 4 children. Documentation of the Center's annual fire and health inspections was current. A sample of records was reviewed, 4 children's and 3 partial staff records. A sample of 2 complete staff records was reviewed on January 29, 2016 at the administration office. The on-site inspection was conducted in the Center from approximately 10:30am to 1:00pm.
